ARTS: Elizabeth Hurley’s son banned from watching Hugh Grant movies
Updated: 03/15 10:30
Elizabeth Hurley has banned her seven-year-old son Damian from watching her ex beau Hugh Grant’s movies, because his films contain too much swearing.
Hurley and Grant live next door to each other in London and share good relation despite their split 10 years ago.
“We're always trying to find something that Uncle Hugh has done that he can see, but they're full of swear words. We can't find any!” the Telegraph quoted her as saying.
She added: “He can't watch Four Weddings And A Funeral. He can't watch About A Boy. It's quite difficult trying to find stuff for kids.
The actress revealed that Damian often spends time with Grant, who is also his godfather.
She said: “We see an awful lot of him. We still live next door to each other in London.
“Damian's very lucky, actually, because he's got a lot of godfathers, and they all spoil him rotten. Hugh adores him and it works very well indeed.”
Hurley claims that she has permitted her son to watch her films ‘Austin Powers’ and ‘Bedazzled’, which are both rated 15.
“I wouldn't really watch anything that I'm in, but because of Damian, I've seen Austin Powers thousands of times.
“He knows all my lines, he can describe all my costumes, all my hairstyles – he knows which ones are wigs; he knows the lot. And Bedazzled he loves. He loves me being the devil. Of course he knows all those lines as well. I don”t know any of them.”

ARTS: No Botox for Drew Barrymore
Updated: 03/15 10:27
Drew Barrymore would prefer to resemble an old mutt than resort to age halting mechanics such as Botox, facelifts and liposuction.
The 35-year-old ET actress revealed she had no qualms with wrinkles and looked forward to growing old.
“I’m so curious as to what’s going to happen naturally that I can’t imagine wanting to alter things just yet,” the Daily Express quoted her as saying.
“And to all those women putting botulism in their faces – we don’t know what the long-term effects are, so stop. I’d rather look like a basset hound than do that to my face,” she added.

ARTS: Kylie Minogue raking in records amount of cash
Updated: 03/15 10:21
It’s been two decades since her very first hit, but Aussie pop princess Kylie Minogue is still raking in records amount of cash.
The 41-year-old star amassed 4.1 million pounds in the year to April 2009, it has emerged.
The latest accounts for the singer’s Darenote company lodged at Companies House in Britain reveals she earned 2.8 million pounds from her 2008-09 world tour, reports the Mail.
The rest was made through record sales and royalties.
Minogue paid herself 1.2 million pounds and left the rest of the money in Darenote.
“They are very healthy figures for any business,” the Sydney Morning Herald quoted a financial expert as saying.
The expert added: “But for a singer who has been around for quite a long time it is incredible to be still earning money at this level.
“There are few pop stars who can sustain themselves at the top for so long.
“This shows that Kylie Minogue is among that select band.”

ARTS: New John Lennon ‘Bed-in for Peace’ pics surface 1
Updated: 03/13 14:08New pictures of John Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono, clicked during their famous Bed-in for Peace in Montreal in 1969, have surfaced.
The pictures, snapped by Life photographer Gerry Deiter, are being showcased in an exhibition in Coventry Cathedral, West Mids.
Deiter was the only photojournalist who was permitted to capture the couple for the full eight days of bed-in at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel.
The pictures show the couple writing and recording their song ‘Give Peace a Chance’.
“Gerry Deiter was the only photojournalist there the entire eight days, with complete access,” the Telegraph quoted Nick Chevasse, the Cathedral’’s tourist director, as saying.
He said: “He was on assignment for Life magazine, but his story was bumped in favour for one about Vietnam.
“The photos were never published, they never ran, so Deiter hid them away.
“This is why many of the images are not familiar, even to Lennon fans – they have never been seen before by anybody.
“He captured the celebrity visitors, the action and intimate, behind the scenes moments between John and Yoko.”
In one photograph, John strums his guitar, while Ono chats to 16-year-old Gail Reynard, who had scaled the hotel's fire escape and pleaded with the couple to let her stay.
Gail was given the original handwritten lyrics for Lennon's peace song, as she was present at the spot throughout the eight days.
She said: “When I first saw the images from the exhibition, I was carried straight back to that amazing time.
“They started to unlock details that I thought I had forgotten.”

ARTS: Israeli nationalist group urges Bar Refaeli to ditch Leonardo DiCaprio
Updated: 03/13 13:39
Bar Refaeli has been urged by an Israeli nationalist group to ditch her boyfriend Leonardo DiCaprio in favour of a Jewish husband.
The supermodel’s affair with the actor has been hitting headlines since the couple began dating in 2005, including speculation leading to their marriage.
An Israeli politician has now penned a letter, sent on behalf of the Lehava organisation, calling for the star to “come to her senses” and not dump her Jewish descent, the Daily Star reported.
Baruch Marzel's letter read: “It is not by chance that you were born Jewish. Your grandmother and her grandmother did not dream that one of their descendants would one day remove the family's future generations from the Jewish people. Assimilation has forever been one of the enemies of the Jewish people.”
Marzel added that he “has nothing against Mr DiCaprio, who I have no doubt is a talented actor,” before concluding: “Come to your senses, look forward and back too – and not only the present. Don't marry Leonardo DiCaprio, don't harm the future generations.”

ARTS: James Brown’s remains go missing from crypt
Updated: 03/12 10:19
Singer James Brown’s daughter LaRhonda Pettit has claimed that his body has ‘gone missing’ from his crypt.
The Godfather of Soul was placed in a temporary crypt at his daughter Deanna’s South Carolina home, while a public mausoleum was being considered.
However, illegitimate daughter, Pettit, has alleged that the remains of the ‘I Got You’ hitmaker are no longer there.
She insists that it has been misplaced to avoid her carrying out an autopsy to reveal the true cause of his death.
“My daddy’s body has disappeared. I have no clue where it was taken but I need to know where it is,” the Mirror quoted Pettit as saying.
She added: “I’m convinced his death was suspicious and I want those responsible brought to justice. The only way to do that is to exhume his body and have an autopsy.
“I cannot understand why one was never conducted, especially as his death seemed so mysterious. It was common knowledge daddy took illegal drugs until his death.
“He was also hooked on various prescription painkillers. At the very least there were enablers who helped cause his death.”
Rumours were once abuzz that Brown had buried some of his 120million pound fortune in his 62-acre estate in South Carolina.
Pettit said: “There were reports he may even have been beaten up before he died, perhaps by someone looking for money on his property.”
Brown had died of an alleged heart attack following a bout of pneumonia on 25th December 2006 at the age of 73.
