ENTERTAINMENT:  Lady Gaga avoids sex to protect her ‘creativity’!

Updated: 08/06 11:03

Lady GagaLady Gaga has revealed that she avoids having sex for fear that someone could steal her ”creativity”.

The eccentric singer, 24, who recently reunited with her ex Luc Carl, says she is trying to avoid sex for a rather off-beat reason.

“I have this weird thing that if I sleep with someone they're going to take my creativity from me through my vagina,” the New York Daily News quoted her as telling Vanity Fair magazine.

And despite her legion of devoted fans, Gaga admits that she's “perpetually lonely.”

“I'm lonely when I'm in relationships. It's my condition as an artist,” she says. “I'm drawn to bad romances. And my song [‘Bad Romance’] is about whether I go after those [sort of relationships] or if they find me. I'm quite celibate now; I don't really get time to meet anyone,” she added.

ENTERTAINMENT:  ‘ET’ voted ‘Greatest Film Of All Time’

Updated: 08/06 11:00

‘ET’, directed by Steven Spielberg, has been voted the ‘Greatest Film Of All Time’ in an online poll.

The film that won four Oscars in 1983 but was beaten to the Best Picture award by Richard Attenborough's Gandhi topped the poll of more than 2,500 people for radiotimes.com.

Movie expert Barry Norman described the sci-fi classic as ‘the perfect family film’.

“A magical tale for children, a triumph of special effects, a chastening lesson to bigots everywhere and, as the director Steven Spielberg describes it, a simple and pure love story,” the Scotsman quoted him as telling the Radio Times.

The Wizard Of Oz landed the second spot, followed by Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Toy Story.

ENTERTAINMENT:  Brad Pitt calls himself ‘Mr. Mom’

Updated: 08/05 11:10

Andrew Morton, who has written the explosive new tell-all ‘Angelina: An Unauthorized Biography’, has revealed that Brad Pitt has given himself a new nickname, ‘Mr. Mom’.

“He calls himself Mr. Mom,” the UsMagazine.com quoted Morton as saying on Fox News Channel”s Fox & Friends.

Morton also said that Jolie, 35, used Maddox, to “bait” Pitt away from Jennifer Aniston while filming ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith’.

“Well, it's kind of playing happy family. He's a great caregiver, this Brad Pitt…. So here's Maddox, this cute little kid, playing around and it draws somebody in. And in all fairness, friends of Angelina, all said it was Brad that made the [pass] in that relationship.”

But Jolie wasn't completely off the hook: “Psychologically, she makes men almost compromise themselves to cheat on their girlfriends, or cheat on their wives in order to be with her.”

“The only man that's never rejected her is Maddox,” Morton added.

ENTERTAINMENT:  Worldwide law needed to force mums to breastfeed for 6 months: Gisele Bundchen

Updated: 08/05 11:05

Gisele BundchenFirst-time mother and supermodel Gisele Bundchen has claimed that breastfeeding her baby boy helped get her back in shape.

The supermodel, who gave birth to son Benjamin in December, shared her opinion on the never-ending debate between the benefits of breastfeeding versus feeding a baby formula.

“Some people (in the US) think they don”t have to breastfeed, and I think, ”Are you going to give chemical food to your child when they are so little?”” the New York Daily News quoted Bundchen as telling Harper”s Bazaar UK.

She added, “I think there should be a worldwide law, in my opinion, that mothers should breastfeed their babies for six months.”

The Brazilian beauty, who is married to NFL hunk Tom Brady, also said that it was very easy to give birth.

Thanks to some meditating, the model said the eight-hour natural birthing process “didn”t hurt in the slightest.”

“It prepared me mentally and physically. It's called ”labor” not ”holiday” for a reason, and I knew that,” she said.

“You want to go into the most intense physical experience of your life unprepared? That doesn't make any sense to me.

“Then I was ready and I thought OK, let's get to work.

“I wasn't expecting someone else to get the baby out of me, she continued.

HEALTH:  Relatives of autistic people tend to display abnormal eye movements

Updated: 08/05 11:03 Autism

Abnormal eye movements and other sensorimotor and neurobehavioral impairments appear common in unaffected family members of individuals with autism, finds a new study.

Matthew W. Mosconi, Ph.D., and colleagues at the University of Illinois at Chicago conducted eye movement testing and other assessments of neurobehavioral function in 57 first-degree relatives of individuals with autism.

Their results were compared with those of 40 individuals who were the same age, sex and had the same IQ but did not have a family member with the condition.

When compared with controls, family members of individuals with autism tended to perform more slowly and less accurately on eye movement tasks, including those assessing saccades and smooth-pursuit eye movements.

“The present findings document that first-degree relatives of individuals with autism demonstrate a unique pattern of oculomotor impairments similar to that previously reported in independent samples of individuals with autism, suggesting that these alterations within sensorimotor and cognitive brain circuitry may be familial traits,” the authors said.

The report has been published in the August issue of Archives of General Psychiatry, one of the JAMA/Archives journals.

ENTERTAINMENT:  Cheryl Cole is Lily English in LA!

Updated: 08/02 10:24

Cheryl Cole has changed her name to Lily English after fleeing to US to record tracks for her second album.

Cole, 27, checked into the plush London Hotel in Los Angeles under the alias of Miss English, to avoid attention as she continues to recover from malaria.

Despite doctors ordering the Girls Aloud singer to rest up following her battle with the potentially fatal bug, the X Factor judge has told friends she’s determined to get back to work.

“Cheryl is going under the name of Lily English while she’s in LA. She hates using her surname of Cole,” the Daily Star quoted a friend as saying.

“It’s not a permanent name change but you never know – if she does like it she might stick with Lily English!” friend added.

ENTERTAINMENT:  Ewan McGregor says Los Angeles is better than London

Updated: 08/02 10:21

Ewan McGregor has said that living in Los Angeles is like a breath of fresh air, compared to London.

The Scottish actor is settled in America with his French wife Eve Mavrakis and their two daughters Clara Mathilde and Esther Rose.

“I have a lot more freedom in LA than when I was in London,” The Daily Express quoted the 39-year-old as saying.

“People leave me alone here and I don’t get mobbed every time that I step outside the door. It was much harder when I lived in London,” he said.

“It’s not a depressing city but I felt that liberty was being eaten away – you can’t go out without being on security cameras.

“I have a different relationship with the place now. I don’t live there so I enjoy going back,” added McGregor.

ENTERTAINMENT:  Jessica Biel lives in constant fear she will run out of money

Updated: 08/01 14:23

Hollywood actress Jessica Biel has revealed that she constantly worries about where her next paycheque is coming from.

Biel admitted to worrying about paying the bills because she can go months without receiving any movie offers.

“Since I was so young when I started (acting) I didn't think about it (money). I just liked it, it was fun. But as I got older and started to become an adult and then had to get a car and have to pay for insurance and all those things… it's a huge worry,” The Daily Star quoted Biel as saying.

“For example, I haven't worked at all this year. I haven't made a film so I haven't had a pay cheque and I won't do anything until September and I don't know if I'll do anything after.

“It's always up in the air constantly. My life is very much a question mark when the next pay cheque is coming in and even when it seems like you make enough money, you sometimes don't know when the next cheque is coming in,” she added.

ENTERTAINMENT:  Leonardo DiCaprio was close to meltdown while shooting ‘Shutter Island’

Updated: 08/01 14:19

Leonardo DiCaprio was close to mental meltdown while on the set of ‘Shutter Island’.

On-set consultant Dr James Gilligan, who worked with DiCaprio, 35, during the entire shoot, feared for the ‘Titanic’ star as he fought to get to grips with his character.

And we discovered that DiCaprio, who played US Marshal Teddy Daniels, was not his usual cool self during the shooting of the film.

The film was shot at the eerie, abandoned mental hospital where the film was shot in Boston, Massachusetts.

The box-office hit shows his character investigating weird goings-on at the psychiatric clinic.

According to Gilligan, DiCaprio descended into the kind of nervous state witnessed in real mental health patients.

“You could see the level of tension building up in him. He constantly tried to avoid being taken over by his character,” the Daily Star quoted him as saying.

DiCaprio even admitted he was emotionally moved by the movie.

He revealed: “This was a very tough film to make for sure, both emotionally and physically. It was among one of the harder ones I’ve done.”

Before filming, DiCaprio was shown a documentary about the mistreatment of patients in the 1950s – when the film is set – showing electric shock therapies and lobotomies.

The star researched the role in such detail he even studied an official mental health doctors’ training video on the Internet.

He read up on how different treatments affect patients, how they act and what they look like.

Dr Gilligan said: “DiCaprio wanted to get in the skin of Teddy – learning the character’s conditions in detail – which he did successfully.”
